"Heya Girls!"
Everyone’s mouth is watering while reading this: “Radicchio tardivo“ from Treviso, aromatic Pedrazzoli ham from Emilia-Romagna, Sartori wines from Verona, “la Bella di Cerignola” – a famous sort of olives from Apulia, giant lemons from the coast of Amalfi and the unique Golfera prosciutto from the province of Ravenna. You can taste and get to know all these products in Vienna this weekend. The new gourmet fair “Fooditalia” brings for the first time genuine minor food producers from all over Italia to Vienna. Nearly 200 exhibiting companies producing apart the culinary mainstream and 70 items on the agenda celebrate the Mediterranean gusto. The well-known cook Ilenia Bazzacco will be also there and will show us how to cook Italian traditional food. In a special workshop you can also learn how to bake Grissini. Oh yeah and Italy’s best confectioner Salvatore de Riso from the province of Salerno brings his Cantuccini to Vienna. Heaven, I now desperately need something to eat!

Such a store was a colonial goods store around 100 years ago and today it is a flagship store - and the exposed items are the “commercial products”: Mansour Ciss Kanakassy opens an African bank that offers Afro instead of Euro and Israel Martinez presents the soundtrack of “Mexican Drug War”.

Maeve MacKinnon
Maeve MacKinnon was raised in a Glasgow’s working- class district, where she was often taken to walk on protest marches by her politically active parents since she was a little girl. Well, it is no wonder that this Scottish woman’s songs are political in nature. She was mesmerized by the Gaelic language early on and today she is ranked among the most important representatives of the “New Gaelic Movement”. She sings about the life in Scotland with her stunning folk voice and presents her new CD in Vienna today, listen here. Also in concert this evening: the absolutely best Scottish band, Breabach.

The incredible tragedy of Richard III
Michael Niavarani, direct quote: “Alright! I am now obviously going insane! I play Shakespeare in my own Theater and I have made a severe comedy out of the ‘light-footed’ tragedy of Richard III.” In fact, the cabaret star and all-rounder Nia ordered a replica of the legendary Shakespeare Globe Theater to be built in Neu Marx! In a modern version, of course. They are going to play Richard III as a comedy in this temporary theater building, because Nia is not an expert in tragedy. The premiere is today – and once avowing as a Shakespeare denier, Nia plays the shoemaker today.

That’s how I can learn to love myself
I can never say ‘no’. I must be perfect at any point in time. I always choose the wrong partner. Not loving yourself has many dimensions. Many of us have constantly only the others on their mind. However, it is also very important to think about your own welfare. Sabine Standenat, a psychologist (from the pool of experts) shows us one way or another to do this in her seven-week seminar (always on Wednesday). If you love yourself, you must take care of your body (diet, exercises, piece and serenity) and of your soul (solving all the problems and trying not to suppress your feelings). This has nothing to do with egoism.

It had also worked out really well: you can sit in a living-room-like cafe, furnished with a farraginous furniture, feasting on an apple-pie.
